N2FL: At what age did you start playing football?
A.H.: 12 years old
N2FL: When and who was your first scholarship offer?
A.H.: May of my sophomore year, BYU
N2FL: How many scholarship offers do you currently have?
A.H.: BYU, UCLA, Stanford, Florida, Oregon, Wisconsin, Washington and Utah
N2FL: What was your favorite college team growing up?
A.H.: Texas Longhorns
N2FL: Favorite NFL Team?
A.H.: Cleveland Browns
N2FL: Do you try and idolize any specific player?
A.H.: Steve Young and Tony Gonzalez
N2FL: Any particular reason for the jersey number?
A.H.: Didn't have the number I wanted when I started playing as a freshman.
N2FL: You committed to BYU in February, why did you decide to end the process so early?
A.H.: I really didn't end it early, I had been recruited from April of my sophomore year and I had all the offers I wanted and the schools I was interested in already done. So it really didn't end fast, it was still way long.
N2FL: What were some of the considerations when choosing your school?
A.H.: Academics, Area, Style of football, Playing Time.
N2FL: What position would you prefer to play in college? Who is recruiting you to play where?
A.H.: TE that's where everyone is recruiting me for.
N2FL: Are there any schools who continue to recruit you despite your commitment?
A.H.: UCLA, Stanford and Florida
N2FL: Who was your lead recruiter at BYU?
A.H.: Brandon Doman
N2FL: Despite your pledge to the Cougars, will you take any "official visits" anywhere else?
A.H.: Yes, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and you have to take everything it throws at you.
N2FL: Was there another school(s) in consideration before you pulled the trigger on the Cougars, and what was it about BYU that ultimately sold you on them?
A.H.: Oregon probably was the school I was leaning towards heavily until Coach Gary Crowton left for LSU. So the tides turned and BYU was the obvious choice for me. What ultimately sold them was everything, but mostly how they use their TE's. I don't want to be stuck blocking 99% of the time and BYU will let me do everything a TE wants in an offense.
N2FL: What are some of your playing strengths?
A.H.: Good hands and can read defenses.
N2FL: What are some things you would like to work on between now and college?
A.H.: Speed and working on everything a TE will need at the next level.
N2FL: How do you feel about Redshirting?
A.H.: To me it's a good thing in many ways and will ultimately help you get into college mode coming off high school and definitely start getting bigger.
N2FL: Do you have a major in mind?
A.H.: Law
N2FL: What are your goals for your senior season?
A.H.: Repeating a state championship would be awesome and become a 2 time All-State player.
N2FL: What is the craziest recruiting "pitch" you have heard so far?
A.H.: There's been too many.
N2FL: Have you communicated with any prospective recruits about attending BYU with you?
A.H.: Yeah some are on my team actually. Our kicker (Justin Sorensen) has committed also, so it's pretty fun.
N2FL: Who has been the biggest influence in your life?
A.H.: Mom and Dad
