*Post Commitment Follow-up*

N2FL:  Back in early August you told N2FL that your top two schools were Cal and Oregon. What was it about Cal that gave them the edge ultimately?

M.J.:  Both of the schools were great. Oregon wowed me with their top-notch facilities, the game time environment and their need for good receivers. Cal is similar in game time environment, but facilities aren't everything and I took note of that before my trip to Cal. But Cal is the place for me. The environment, education and the nice California air which is what I'm used to. Also my relationships with (WR) coach (Dan) Ferrigno and Tedford was a big deal. Mainly I just thought that Cal was more my style.

N2FL:  Who was your lead recruiter at Cal?

M.J.:  My Lead recruiter from Cal was the wide receivers coach; Coach Ferrigno.

N2FL:  You had planned on waiting until your season was over in November to commit, what changed your mind?

M.J.:  It was no use waiting to make a decision between only 2 schools so I wanted to end the process and chose right after I've been to both of my top schools.

N2FL:  You have used two of your five allotted "official" visits to Cal (10/13) and Oregon (9/29). Will you take any of your other three visits still?

M.J.:  No I will not. After my Oregon trip I came to the fact that there were only 2 schools that stuck out and were a good fit for me.

N2FL:  Now that you have committed to Cal, will you target any other recruits to join you in Berkley?

M.J.:  Yes I will. I want this class of 08 to be the best recruiting class Cal has had, so I have to try hard to get the top players to join Cal with me. Like (Robert Golden)-friend!!!!lol we've been talking about going to the same school for a while now.
