N2FL:  At what age did you start playing football?

J.B.:  I started playing organized football when I was 10 years old. It was the first year our town ever had recreation football.

N2FL:  What was your favorite college team growing up?

J.B.:  The Texas Longhorns were my favorite college team growing up.

N2FL:  Have a favorite NFL Team?

J.B.:  The Giants are my favorite NFL team.

N2FL:  Do you try and emulate any specific player?

J.B.:  I don't necessarily try to emulate any other player, but there are definitely some that a I respect a great deal. One is Kyle Turley. That dude is crazy and a great lineman. Playing center, I've also admired players like Kevin Mawae and Shaun O'Hara.

N2FL:  Any particular reason for the jersey number?

J.B.:  I wear #77. I started wearing it my sophomore season. The senior quarterback wore #7. He and I thought it would be cool if had 77 and he had 7, since I would be snapping to him.

N2FL:  When and who was your first scholarship offer?

J.B.:  I have one offer from Bryant University in Rhode Island. I got it in sometime in January.

N2FL:  How many scholarship offers do you currently have?

J.B.:  I'm close to a few offers with some schools. They like me a lot but they'd like to see me in camp. I really have no preference right now.

N2FL:  What are some of the considerations you have when deciding between schools?

J.B.:  When it comes to choosing a school, the most important is academics. Second is the football program as a whole, like the coaches, facilities, team environment, etc. My overall feel with the school is crucial in my decision as well. I don't want to attend a school where I'm going to be uncomfortable.

N2FL:  Who are the schools currently on your list for consideration? Any leader(s)?

J.B.:  Like I said before, I don't have a preference right now and am still open. But I definitely am leaning more towards the schools actively recruiting me. I have heard from all over the country and many different schools stopped by during the recruiting period. Some of the schools I'm hearing from include Rutgers, Penn State, Vanderbilt, Pitt, Syracuse, UConn, Cincinnati, Miami, Notre Dame, Michigan State, North Carolina, N.C. State, Virginia, West Virginia, and many more.

N2FL:  Who is currently recruiting you the hardest?

J.B.:  The schools recruiting me the hardest right now are Rutgers, UConn, Pitt, and Syracuse. I'd say I am real close to offers with these schools. I just have to perform well and camp.

N2FL:  What positions are you being recruited to play?

J.B.:  I am basically being recruited for OL. I have played center my whole football career. I am moving out of the position to either guard or tackle next year. Some schools have specifically said they like me at tackle, but the schools have also said the 5 best play, regardless of position.

N2FL:  What position would you prefer to play?

J.B.:  I don't really care where I play, as long as I can contribute.

N2FL:  Have you thought about who you might want to "officially visit"?

J.B.:  I have not thought about official visits.

N2FL:  What do you feel are some of your playing strengths?

J.B.:  One of my best playing strengths is I am very athletic for a kid my size. All the schools have expressed that to me. I move very well. I ran a 5.1 forty 2 weeks ago at the Big-Time Showcase and I know I will continue to get that time down. I am also a very good pass blocker and have done extremely well in one-on-ones at camps and showcases this offseason.

N2FL:  What are some things you would like to work on between now and college?

J.B.:  Between now and college, I'd like to add mass and get stronger. My speed is good and I'd like to improve that as well, but getting bigger and stronger will be my main focus.

N2FL:  How do you feel about Redshirting?

J.B.:  I have no preference to redshirting or not. I will do what the coaches think are best for the team and me.

N2FL:  Do you have a major in mind?

J.B.:  I'm leaning towards a business major now, but I am still somewhat unsure.

N2FL:  What are your goals for your senior season?

J.B.:  My goals for senior season is for our team to post a winning record and make the playoffs.

N2FL:  What is the craziest recruiting "pitch" you have heard so far?

J.B.:  I can't really think of any crazy pitches off the top of my head.

N2FL:  Do you have a time frame as to when you would like to commit?

J.B.:  I'd like to commit as soon as possible. I look forward to getting recruitment out of the way and focusing on our senior season.

N2FL:  Have you communicated with any prospective recruits about attending the same school?

J.B.:  I've become friends with a few guys in the area like Kevin McFall from Butler, Alfred Tillerson from Wallington, and Michael Larrow from Union, but we haven't really talked about going to the same school.

N2FL:  Who has been the biggest influence in your life?

J.B.:  My family is the biggest influence in my life.
