Jordan Luallen (July 9, 2008)
N2FL: At what age did you start playing football?
J.L.: 7-years-old
N2FL: When and who was your first scholarship offer?
J.L.: Indiana University on June 12, 2007
N2FL: How many scholarship offers do you currently have?
J.L.: 8
N2FL: What was your favorite college team growing up?
J.L.: Georgia Bulldogs
N2FL: Have a favorite NFL Team?
J.L.: Chicago Bears
N2FL: Do you try and emulate any specific player?
J.L.: Not really, I feel like I set myself apart from other dual-threat quarterbacks with my height and ability to throw the ball in the pocket. If anyone, I would say I try to play like Tim Tebow with more agility than power.
N2FL: Any particular reason for the jersey number?
J.L.: My coach gave it to me as a freshman on varsity because he wanted to carry a tradition with the number. Our previous starting quarterback was #10.
N2FL: You committed to Georgia Tech in late May, why did you decide to end your recruitment so early?
J.L.: I felt like God wanted me to be a Yellow Jacket and I was comfortable with everything Georgia Tech was offering me. It was gods plan.
N2FL: What were some of the considerations when choosing your school?
J.L.: The biggest thing was my comfort level with the coaches and the fact that they are great Christian men. However, all of the listed factors were a part of my decision ultimately.
N2FL: Are there any schools who continue to recruit you despite your commitment?
J.L.: Vanderbilt. Other schools have told me I will always have a spot if something happens in the future such as Indiana, Stanford, Maryland and Cincinnati.
N2FL: Who was your lead recruiter at Georgia Tech?
J.L.: QB coach Brian Bohannon
N2FL: Despite your pledge to the Yellow Jackets, will you take any "official visits" anywhere else?
J.L.: no
N2FL: Was there another school(s) in consideration before you pulled the trigger on the Jackets, and what was it about Georgia Tech that ultimately sold you on them?
J.L.: Cincinnati, Stanford and Indiana. I just fell in love with the Yellow Jacket football program and everything they had to offer.
N2FL: What do you view as some of your playing strengths?
J.L.: My running abilities as well as my ability to throw on the run. For a running quarterback, I also feel like I have very good pocket presence and ability to throw in the pocket.
N2FL: What are some things you would like to work on between now and college?
J.L.: My arm strength, speed, strength, agility, accuracy, and football IQ. You can never settle for what you have.
N2FL: How do you feel about Redshirting?
J.L.: I think it is great. It would allow me to mature more physically.
N2FL: Do you have a major in mind?
J.L.: As of now, no, but I am meeting with the admissions people this month to talk to them about different possibilities.
N2FL: What are your goals for your senior season?
J.L.: To help lead my team to a state championship.
N2FL: What is the craziest recruiting "pitch" you have heard so far?
J.L.: Not really crazy but more honoring than anything. Coach B.J. (Brian Jean-Mary) the linebackers coach told me to get my three suits ready for all the awards banquets I will be attending as the starting QB for the Yellow Jackets.
N2FL: Have you communicated with any prospective recruits about attending Georgia Tech with you?
J.L.: Yes - multiple players: Will Jackson, Mike Gillislee, Orwin Smith, Darren Myles Jr., Jay Finch, Dontae Aycock, Izaan Cross, Braxton Lane, and Warren Norman.
N2FL: Who has been the biggest influence in your life?
J.L.: My father, Bill Luallen
