N2FL: At what age did you start playing football?
M.T.: I've always played street football with friends for as long as I can remember. I officially started when I was 11.
N2FL: What was your favorite college team growing up?
M.T.: Oklahoma and Kansas. I'm from the Midwest so those were always the games on TV.
N2FL: Have a favorite NFL Team?
M.T.: The St. Louis Rams and Dallas Cowboys
N2FL: Do you try and emulate any specific player?
M.T.: Not really, but I try to emulate Jerry Rice's work ethic and Primetime's (Deion Sanders) 'swagger'.
N2FL: Any particular reason for the jersey number?
M.T.: Yeah, it's because my cousin who was killed a couple years back wore the number 8 in basketball.
N2FL: When and who was your first scholarship offer from?
M.T.: April 31st from Tulsa University
N2FL: How many scholarship offers do you currently have?
M.T.: I have 10
N2FL: Is there a school that hasn't offered you that you would like to see do so?
M.T.: Oklahoma and LSU
N2FL: What are some of the considerations you have when deciding between schools?
M.T.: The system and also how genuine the coaches are.
N2FL: Who are the schools currently on your list for consideration? Any leader(s)?
M.T.: All of the schools who have offered me are definitely being strongly considered. Not any leaders at the moment, I have to do some more research before I start narrowing them down.
N2FL: Who is currently recruiting you the hardest?
M.T.: Definitely Wisconsin, Baylor and Minnesota.
N2FL: What positions are you being recruited to play?
M.T.: defensive back, slot receiver and return specialist; so I guess you could say 'athlete'.
N2FL: What position would you prefer to play in college?
M.T.: Not really sure, I just want to play ball.
N2FL: Have you thought about who you might want to "officially visit"?
M.T.: Wisconsin, Arizona and Minnesota. The other two slots are pretty wide open at this point.
N2FL: What do you view as some of your playing strengths?
M.T.: My football IQ, my aggressiveness and my quick feet.
N2FL: What are some things you would like to work on between now and college?
M.T.: My size; I would like to bulk up a little bit more. Also work on my straight-line speed. Today's game is all about speed.
N2FL: How do you feel about Redshirting?
M.T.: I wouldn't mind it as much if I truly felt that my body wasn't strong enough yet. Although I want a chance to come in and compete for playing time.
N2FL: Do you have a major in mind?
M.T.: Either Psychology or Business Administration.
N2FL: What are your goals for your senior season?
M.T.: To win a State Title and make All-State. Also to be invited to the Under Armour All-America game.
N2FL: What is the craziest recruiting "pitch" you have heard so far?
M.T.: HaHaHa, "I'm going to have all of my commits in by August 1st, so you need to commit now"... (the number one team in the nation won't even have all of their commits by then).
N2FL: Do you have a time frame as to when you would like to commit?
M.T.: around December or January
N2FL: Have you communicated with any prospective recruits about attending the same school?
M.T.: Yeah: Darnell Taylor, Darius Taylor, Kendial Lawrence, Dewayne Peace and Drew Allen.
N2FL: Who has been the biggest influence in your life?
M.T.: Edward Taylor (Guardian) and Steve Halpin (Coach)
